The Admiralty Point Trail in Belcarra Regional Park is an easy stroll with several points to stop and take in the views of the Indian Arm, a coastal fjord surrounded by lush mountains. At the water's edge for its entirety, you are never far from a viewpoint, whilst the forest also gives you shelter from the sun. This trail is an easy out-and-back route, making it perfect for families and those looking for a leisurely hike with plenty of scenic spots to enjoy a picnic or just soak in the tranquility of nature.
At 4.5 kilometers, with only 25 meters of elevation, the trai is accessible to hikers of all levels. It's well-loved, so expect to share the trail with others, especially on weekends, but it rarely feels crowded. Allow yourself about 2 hours to complete this hike at a relaxed pace, leaving plenty of time to take photos or watch boats glide by from the lookout points.
While this is normally done as an out and back route, there are trails that come back around the back side of Belcarra Bluffs, or that come back over the top. These trails add a significant amount of elevation, steep terrain and effort to this hike. With a network of trails up there and little phone signal or signage, there is significant potential to take a wrong turn. Make sure you have an offline map, fitness and enough sunlight hours if you choose to add on this detour.

The Admiralty Point Trail follows a well-maintained path through a lush forest canopy, which can be a refreshing respite on sunny days. The terrain is mostly flat and dirt-packed, with occasional roots crisscrossing the path. Comfortable walking shoes or trainers should suffice. However, after a rain, the trail may have some muddy patches, so bear that in mind. There are no technical sections, but the walk does run close to the water for its entirety, with some exposure to small cliffs or drops. Keep an eye on children. No water is available on the trail so bring a drink and a snack along to enjoy at one of the picturesque viewpoints along the route.
