Dog Mountain is a busy and popular trail giving you realtively easy access to great views back across Vancouver Harbour and the city of Vancouver.

The trail: Some junctions or misleading side-trails. Check your map regularly. Phone signal in BC is not reliable when hiking. Always carry an OFFLINE map. I recommend and use AllTrails+ and Gaia Maps.

Getting There

Conveniently located only 40 minutes from downtown Vancouver, simply take the Mount Seymour Parkway exit off Highway 1 o the North Shore and follow the well-marked signs. Ample parking is available. The road up to Mount Seymour gains a lot of elevation very quickly - take care around winter months - these roads can quickly become a winter white out.
