The Grouse Grind is a popular tourist attraction, affectionalty known as Nature's Stairmaster. It is a grueling 2km hike up through a very steep forest. At the top you are rewarded with a spectacular view over the city, English Bay and Vancouver Island. Many people arrive completely unprepared for this hike. Make sure you bring good footwear, food, water and adequate clothing for the weather.

The trail is steep, involves continuous steps for the duration and required stepping over many tree roots, rocks and slippery sections. Do not take this hike lightly. Come prepared with the right footwear.
To reach Grouse Mountain, drive up Capilano Road from North Vancouver, or take the bus from Lonsdale Quay. If coming from downtown or further south, the SeaBus is your best bet if using public transport.
