The Iona Beach Trail can be done as and out-and-back or loop, with both being about 5 kilometers. Since you can either walk along the beach, or the main trail, you have the choice on the way out and back as to which you take, though to be honest, you can just explore, see what plants and interesting things you come across, adn don't really need to stick to the paths at all. The main trail especially is exceptionally easy, whilst the beach is obviously a little more taxing for those with less mobility. Great views all around, lots of bird life and a real quick way to get out into nature. Even if its windy and rainy, its a nice way to get out into nature.
With only 25 meters of elevation gain, this trail is as flat as they come. Bring a picnic or simply explore the beach with your children. Dogs are allowed on the beach.

The beach is sandy and flat, whilst the main trail is wide and accessible for a stroller. I would not advise swimming here as there are very few people around and no life guards.
