Joffre Lakes is one of BC's iconic hikes, and for good reason. The trail is absolutely stunning, and takes you past 3 magical glacial lakes. Obviously with such a reputation, the trail gets super busy at peak times. The trail has variety with flat sections, steeper sections, lake views, forests and glaciers.

The trail: Some junctions or misleading side-trails. Check your map regularly. Phone signal in BC is not reliable when hiking. Always carry an OFFLINE map. I recommend and use AllTrails+ and Gaia Maps.

Getting There

Joffre Lakes is located 30 minutes north of Pemberton, and is realistically about as far as you'd want to come for a day trip from Vancouver. The parking lot is located right at the road side. Alternatively, Parkbus offer a service to shuttle you to the trailhead from Vancouver.
