Lighthouse Park is a great viewing point to look back over English Bay and the city of Vancouver. The network of trails make it easy to walk for as little or as much as you'd like. From a 1km walk to a bigger 6km hike, make it your own.
With plenty of little side paths down to rocky outcrops and little beaches, its relatively easy to get away from the crowds, find a place to contemplate life, or enjoy a picnic with some friends. The more westerly points, down as far as the lighthouse make great viewing spots for sunset. Lighthouse Park is very much a Vancouver classic - it might get a little busy at times, but for good reason - it makes a lovely walk for a couple of hours.

With a network of trails, viewpoints and outcrops to explore the trail conditions are expectedly varied. The bigger paths in the forest are wide and open, but many of the viewpoints involve stepping down over uneven rocks, steeper tracks and some branches.
Follow Marine Drive westwards all the way from North Vancouver. The road meanders along the coast, with minimal traffic and nice views out over English Bay. Shortly after passing Isetta Café on the left, you'll see Lighthouse Park signposted down Beacon Lane. A shortwhile further you'll reach a large car park, though at peak times this has no trouble filling up. As ever, if you're able, I suggest going at off peak times.
