The Stanley Park Seawall forms the outer edge of Vancouver’s Stanley Park, and has become synonymous with Vancouver’s reputation for outdoor living. The park is visited by cyclists, walkers and skaters alike and is easily accessible for an afternoon stroll of all abilities. There are countless natural wonders to admire from a casual stroll around the seawall, from the beauty of the North Shore mountains, the passing boats or the inner grandeur of Stanley Parks majestic trees.
The Stanley Park Seawall is approximately 10km around, though it is very possible to do only part of this should you wish to take it easy. A quick look at google maps or your tail app will show you the huge network of paths that criss-cross stanley park and allow you shorten the distance. Alternatively, put your map away and lose yourself in the depths of this incredible forest.
If you’re keen to do the full distance, I suggest starting your walk at Canada Place where you’ll have a great view of Coal Harbour, Stanley Park and the North Shore mountains beyond. Remember, cyclists must navigate Stanley Park clockwise – finishing at Second Beach on English Bay.

The Stanley Park Sea Wall is a paved walking path and does not involve any technical terrain or obstacles.
The Stanley Park Seawall is very simply the outer perimeter of Stanley Park. The park itself forms the outer reaches of the Burrard Peninsula, on which Vancouver also stands. From Downtown Vancouver, head north-west towards Stanley Park. The traffic gets particularly busy during summer months, but there are plenty of places to park, either near Coal Harbour, around the park itself or along Park Lane.
